Since the beginning of the 21st century, a new generation of information technologies, represented by artificial intelligence, quantum information, mobile communication, the Internet of Things, and blockchain, has accelerated breakthroughs and applications. Advanced manufacturing technologies integrating robotics, digitization, and new materials are driving the transformation of the manufacturing industry toward intelligence, service orientation, and green development, etc. A new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is reshaping the global innovation landscape and restructuring the global economic structure.

To meet the new requirements for scientific research and innovation in the printing and packaging industry under China’s high-quality development in the new development stage, promote collaborative innovation among industry, universities, research institutes, and users, break through bottlenecks in the innovation chain of the printing industry, and continuously enhance its innovation capacity and competitiveness, the China Academy of Printing Technology, together with relevant universities and colleges, founded the “China Academic Conference on Printing and Packaging” in 2010, which is held annually. After 16 years of development, the conference has become the top-level academic exchange event for scientific research in China’s printing and packaging sector, and has been widely recognized by leaders from competent government departments, experts, scholars, teachers and students from universities, as well as enterprise researchers.

2026 17th China Academic Conference on Printing and Packaging & Forum of Collaborative Innovation of Industry-University-Research will be held in Beijing in October 2026. The conference will invite experts, scholars, and research elites from home and abroad to discuss the development trends of printing and packaging technologies, share the latest scientific research and innovation achievements, broaden the vision of scientific and technological innovation, and continuously promote the improvement of the industry’s scientific and technological innovation level and enterprises’ core competitiveness.

The concurrent “China Printing and Packaging Forum of Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation” will be based on industry development and provide participants with multi-level and in-depth exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. Universities and research institutions will be invited to release industrializable research achievements to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological outcomes; innovative enterprises will be invited to present their research achievements and future research cooperation needs, so as to facilitate the integrated development of the innovation chain and industrial chain.
